Attention all high school students.

2017 MLK Art Contest Registration Form

High School Art Contest Poster

As part of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. event at the Museum, we will be holding an art contest for Connecticut high school students. The theme of the contest is to honor Dr. King and his legacy visually through works of art.

The top 20 submissions will be displayed at the Yale Peabody Museum during the 2017 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. two-day celebration.

Art work must be received at the Museum during business hours, or by mail, no later than Wednesday, January 4, 2017.

Prizes

1st place winner — $150, a 2017 MLK T-shirt, a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. book, and a Museum family membership

2nd place winner — $75, a 2017 MLK T-shirt and a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. book

3rd place winner — $25, a 2017 MLK T-shirt and a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. book

Guidelines

Art work must be two-dimensional, in any medium, and no larger than 16 x 20 inches.

The Yale Peabody Museum will only accept artwork created by high school students in Connecticut. One artwork per person.

Works must be original; no copies, stencils or clip art.

A completed registration form must be included with your artwork.

Please DO NOT fold or staple your artwork.

Winners will be notified by email.
