Event description:

The Yale African American Affinity Group and Yale LGBTQ Affinity Group invite you to join a virtual panel discussion on the themes of Yale Repertory Theatre’s production of CHOIR BOY.

In Tarell Alvin McCraney’s play, the central character Pharus must navigate his own identity against the demands of his school. Where will he change the school, and where does the school wish to change him? Taking the play’s story and themes, we invite you to a conversation about identity and institutions, one rooted here at Yale and in New Haven. Professor Eric M. Glover of the David Geffen School of Drama and one of CHOIR BOY’s production dramaturgs will moderate the conversation.
