Join the YAAA & Black Employee Network (BEN) for a summer social, Juneteenth style. To honor the successful completion of YAAA co-chair, James Carr, we will be celebrating our freedom with our community, in our community through performing and visual arts.
So join us for Smokin’ Lanes BBQ & Seafood, music by DJ Excel, and activities for all ages. This is a family-friendly event.

On June 11th, Vaughn Signatures will be hosting its first Men’s Event, titled, Together We Stand. The event will be held at the Crystal Ball Room in Naugatuck, CT. The purpose of this event is to offer a safe space and platform for fathers and all males to provoke change, awareness, and bonding. The event will include expert speakers to discuss a variety of topics, that aim to Equip, Educate and Empower men within their communities. Each attendee will be provided a meal and a free giveaway.

Join the Association of Asian American Yale Alumni and Kitchen Marronage for a virtual kitchen talk with novelist Monique Truong (YC’90) and Dr. Tao Leigh Goffe (GSAS ‘15). Together the two will explore Afro-Asian intimacies in the culinary archives of colonial encounter. A special recipe will be distributed to participants beforehand.

New Haven Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in partnership with the Epsilon Iota Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., will celebrate their 11th Annual event on Saturday, June 10, 2023. Join us for the day as you shop for free clothing, shoes, household items, books and more. There will be food and health screenings available on-site. Donations are being collected now! Please sort and drop off during one of the collection dates below.

Join YWCA Hartford Region, Yale’s Affinity Groups, and The New Haven Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club’s Inc. for a virtual learning session about the 50/50 Campaign, an initiative to promote gender equity and racial diversity on municipal boards and commissions. The 50/50 Campaign educates and encourages community members to join their local municipal boards and commissions to ensure residents have a voice in the decision-making process and help improve the quality of life for their community.

According to the International Labour Organization, over 3 million children were trafficked in 2022. Please join us for an information session with Love146, where you will learn about the programs they offer, how to help or get involved, and resources for keeping kids safe online. For over 20 years, Love146 has been developing survivor care, reintegration, and prevention programming all over the world.
