It can be difficult to explain complex topics to kids. Books are a powerful tool for introducing ideas of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to your kids at home or in the classroom. But how to know which books to pick? Join the Office of Diversity & Inclusion (ODI), the Yale affinity groups, and the WorkLife & Childcare Program for a panel and discussion about introducing diversity into your kids’ books on October 24 from noon-1 p.m.

I Belong was a featured session during the spring of 2022 in partnership with the Yale Schwarzman Center. It is a space to discuss race and equality. Attendees will speak freely about their personal experiences and collaborate on action items focusing on ways work can assist and provide opportunities for advancement and leadership to individuals from underrepresented groups. Participants will explore how, although they each may be different on the surface, they share similar goals in the workplace.
