What is your current role at Yale University?

I am a Community Wellness Specialist (CWS) within Yale College Community Care. What we affectionately call YC3.  We are an additional mental health and wellness resource for Yale College students that are focused on accessibility and feasibility; meeting students where they are in terms of where they live, learn, and socialize.

What are your main responsibilities?

Constance Baker Motley: Lady of the Law Exhibit

 An exhibition tracing the career of Constance Baker Motley (1921-2005), Civil Rights attorney and New Haven native. The first woman attorney at the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund; the first Black woman to argue before the United States Supreme Court; the first Black woman Senator in New York State; the first woman Manhattan Borough President; the first Black woman to be appointed to the federal bench; one of the first Black women graduates of Columbia Law School: these and others are among the many extraordinary accomplishments of Judge Motley’s career.

What is your current role at Yale University?
 
Senior Administrative Assistant at the Yale Cancer Center, supporting faculty recruitment, and within the Office of Health Equity Research, supporting the Associate Dean.
 
What are your main responsibilities?
 
My main responsibilities include coordinating recruitment visits for faculty candidates and managing Dr. Nunez-Smith’s calendar.
 

Mother’s Day Outreach 2022

Yale’s Affinity Groups, New Haven Fire Department, Yale Police Department, CT Police, Yale New Haven Health Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale Cancer Center, and The New Haven Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club’s Inc.  are partnering to collect toiletries and cosmetics for mothers at Life Haven, The Apt Foundation, and The Kinship Program. Items are being collected from Thursday, March 3rd through Tuesday, May 3rd.
